Safety Stand Down Days
During February 2019 Cullum were invited to participate in the Safety Stand Down Days with National Grid for the St Fergus Gas Terminal site. We were pleased to be asked to attend and in the spirit of open and honest communication presented some of our own issues to National Grid and their key sub-contractors. The sessions were split over two days and covered several Safety related issues, in a very open and forthright environment, that was beneficial to all 150 attendees.
This spirit of learning was summed up by a ‘Safety Charter’ which all attendees signed, as a mark of their commitment to the behaviours both we and National Grid support and expect. This will be visual for the whole team ‘on site’ to remind them of their commitment to Safety that we all share. Cullum have the privilege of working closely with National Grid at the St Fergus Gas Terminal on the cab, ventilation system and exhaust stack refurbishments and feel that these sessions have further aided our working and understanding of this COMAH site. We look forward to working on more joint projects with National Grid and continue the honest and open communication on Safety and extending this to other operational sites.
